Tankers for bulkers

Cido Shipping of Hong Kong has amended an existing newbuilding contract at South Korean shipyard Hyundai Mipo. The original contract was placed in July 2007 for six 47,000dwt products tankers with delivery between1Q11 and 4Q11.They were assigned hull numbers 2135,2136 and 2213-2216 inclusive.These have now been swapped for the same number of 60,000dwt Supramax bulk carriers. At the same time they have had their delivery pushed back by up to one year, with delivery of the first ship due in July 2011 and the final vessel now expected in November 2012.They have been assigned new hull numbers of 6047,6048 and 6051-6054 inclusive.
