VHF makes SMM debut

Safety and electronics specialist McMurdo launched its new R5 GMDSS VHF handheld radio at SMM in Hamburg last month. The R5 will be on display on the McMurdo stand (B6.121) together with the company's full range of marine safety products including EPIRBs, SARTs, PLBs, NAVTEX and VHF radios. The new McMurdo R5 is internationally type-approved and is a portable fully featured GMDSS survival craft handheld VHF radio that can also be used for general onboard communication. Reliable and easy to use, the R5 features rotary volume control and a large clear LED display.
