GEA looks east

Germany-based GEA's heat exchanger division, GEA PHE Systems, is expanding its Singapore presence by setting up a new facility to cater for product assembly and after-sales service. Based on local sourcing and GEA PHE Systems-manufactured main components, the facility will supply plate heat exchangers for the Asia-Pacific shipbuilding sector and other industries. The move is aimed at reducing supply times and improving service access to the region with a specific focus on providing better service levels for the marine sector. The new premises in Tuas will accommodate sales and engineering teams and will include a 1,000m~2 assembly and service workshop including a regional spare parts distribution centre.
