HHI licence extended

A 10-year extension to the licensee agreement has been signed between Wartsila' and its South Korean partner Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Engine and Machinery Division. The agreement was signed on 28 February in Ulsan and covers the period from 2012 to 2021. HHI has been a Wartsila licensee since 1975 and the total power volume of the Wartsila-licensed engines it has built exceeds 22.800MW. Under the terms of the agreement, HHI is licensed to manufacture and sell the full range of Wartsila RTA, RT-flex and X-series low-speed marine diesel engines within its specified territory.
