US expansion for ClassNK

Japanese classification society ClassNK is expanding its services in the US to meet growing demand, it was reported on 11 January. In December the US Coast Guard (USCG) granted the class society 'expanded authorisation' to carry out a full range of surveys for the SOLAS, MARPOL, and AFS conventions, as well as ISM audits on behalf of the US flag administration, ClassNK noted.
