It will be months before safety investigators reveal why Carnival Triumph - with 3,143 passengers and 1,086 crew aboard - was crippled by an engine room fire on 10 February. The US Coast Guard (USCG) told Solutions that the preliminary cause was a leak in an oil return line from the Number 6 fuel tank. How this fire then completely knocked out the vessel's propulsion has yet to be confirmed.
