Physical prices hit two-month low

European delivered coal prices slumped to their lowest level for two months today, as spot market trades weakened.Delivered prices fell to $74.82/t cif Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA), down by 68cents/t on the day and their lowest level since 21 July. The daily index came under pressure as October and December spot cargoes were booked in the European physical market at lower levels.October traded twice for 50,000t at $73.95/t des AR -55cents/t lower than a similar deal done yesterday. Two 50,000t December cargoes changed hands, with the first traded at $74.85/t des AR with exchange of futures for physical (efp), and the second sold at the lower price of $74.707t des AR with efp.
