摘要

China's imminent membership of the WTO is having a profound effect on a whole range of that country's industries and services, and among them is the logistics business. Although the domestic logistics market is still in a relatively early stage of development, there is an increasing awareness among a variety of companies in China of the important role efficient transportation logistics can play in achieving profitability. This has created a recognition of the need to optimise internal logistics management and minimise logistics costs.
