European premium: activity subdued

In the Italian market, pre-seasonal prices held steady in the week but activity was subdued with no onslaught of buyers, despite this being the usual period of time that supermarkets start securing volumes for next year. A minimal price difference between summer and winter prices over the past few years continued to discourage buyers rushing in to buy volumes so early in the pre-season, traders said. Increased activity is expected next month.
