European Premium: Cold spurs demand

In the Italian premium pellet market, low temperatures in Italy and the forecast of temperatures staying below the ten-year average next week spurred further buying activity. Growing demand in Italy caused a shortage of pellets from Austria and Germany — Italian buyers continue to favour whiter pellets from Germany and Austria. And meant some buyers with contracts experienced delays, which stirred activity on the spot market, traders said.
