Vietnam eyes hydropower surplus

Power supply satisfied demand during the January-June dry season in Vietnam for the first time in seven years, this year. North Vietnam depends heavily on hydropower supply, and this year reservoirs water levels are at 121pc of their 10-year average thanks to aboveaverage winter rainfall.
