Almost every week in many breeding herds, the problem arises of how to feed baby pigs when their mother's milk supply has failed or is inadequate. Fostering them onto another sow is an appealing option, but is not always feasible because of the piglets' age or a shortage of suitable sows. That is when a liquid milk replacer could provide the answer.
