Europe: strong dollar forces prices down

The Argus 90-day wood pellet spot index fell by more than $1.50/t this week, to sit at its lowest level, in dollars, since the middle of June. But that still left it at the equivalent of more than ?141/t — its highest-ever level in euros — as substantial swings in currency exchange rates remained a major driving force behind prices.
