Venezuela offered a rare glimpse into the fnances of state- owned oil company PdV this week, with the limited data sug- gesting a growing reliance on transfers from the central bank and currency exchange arbitrage. The company earned a $13bn proft on consolidated global revenue of $59.18bn in frst-half 2015, energy minister Eulogio del Pino said at a 28 October meeting with the national assem- bly’s fnance committee to discuss the central government’s proposed 2016 budget.
