Barge service is extended

Liberty Comer (NJ)-based carrier Columbia Coastal Transport (CCT) has launched a bi-weekly container barge service linking the US east coast ports of New York/New Jersey (NYNJ) and Portland, Maine. The new link, using one 690TEU barge, is an extension of CCT's Northern Service between NYNJ and Boston. The carrier specialises in the east coast cabotage market, with a fleet of 10 container barges. Freeport (Bahamas) and Cuba are also served on demand.
