Dsv Acquires Abx Logistics

Denmark-based DSV has provisionally agreed to buy Belgium's ABX Logistics for EUR750 million (USD 1.2 billion) on a debt and cash free basis. The logic behind the deal is said to be DSV's need for greater economies of scale. Its air and sea activities will double in size, and its road activities will be significantly strengthened, particularly in the Benelux region, Italy, Germany, France and Spain.
