Sails Dip Hits Lonrho

Losses at Cape Town-based South African Independent Liner Services (SAILS) has hit the interim results of parent group Lonrho. The London-headquartered transport,mining,infrastructure and leisure conglomerate that has interests throughout Africa posted a GBP4 (USD8) million loss in the six month up to end March 2008,a 21.2% deteriora-tion on the loss of GBP3.3 (USD6.6) million recorded in the corresponding period of 2007.
