Quarterly Financial Overview

The second quarter of 2008 offered only a slight breather for the financial markets.The major stock markets regained some lost ground,and investors avoided the "panic" button following a very tough Q1,but not much more. The world's major indices were,nevertheless,slightly worse or unchanged compared with end Q1 2008.The Dow Jones Industrial average went down 10.9% and the S&P 500 was down 9.9%.Nas-daq fell 9.4% lower,compared to 14.2% in Q1,and in Europe,EuroStoxx 50 was down 22.6%,compared to 16.4% in Q1.
