At the beginning of the third quarter, MBR had picked up on signsthat Chinese long products suppliers had hit a point of rigidity in theirpricing, owing to the fact that in our estimation at least, the depth ofnegative margins had become unbearable. Indeed, our chart on localChinese rebar margins illustrates well the fact that losses per tonneof rebar sold, in the eastern Chinese market, had stopped increasing.
