The long-awaited recovery in US flat product prices has receded further into the future as prices havecontinued to sink. HR coil in the Midwest is now bid as low as $22.50/UScwt ($496/tonne). There areeven reports of large scale buyers contracting supplies for less than $21/UScwt ($463/tonne). Spot CRcoil prices have lost some of their edge over spot HR coil and deals are on course to settle at $29/UScwt($639/tonne).
