UK medium biomass capacity growth quickens

Non-domestic medium biomass boilers' capacity increased faster than that of the small biomass boiler category in January-June, for the first time since the UK launched its renewable heat incentive (RHI) scheme. Around 243MW of capacity was accredited under the medium category in the first half of this year - a rise of 6.1pc/month - over four times the 59MW accredited a year earlier.
