French renewable energy company Akuo Energy has begun construction on the 20MW Novillars Biomass Cogeneration (CBN) combined heat and power (CHP) plant in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region in eastern France. The plant is scheduled to become operational in early 2019. Feedstock for the plant will be locally supplied wood, 92pc from Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, and all within a 100km radius, Akuo said.
