Italian group sells wood chip plant

Italian engineering group Marie Tecnimont has received a binding offer for the purchase of its 18MW Biolevano biomass plant, located in Olevano di Lomellina, in the northern Italian region of Lombardy. The plant, which burns 216,000 t/yr of wood chips, will be sold to a pool of Italian investors for ?80mn ($91mn).
