A synergy of ideas and solutions

An interesting convergence of industries and ideas took place last month in Washington, DC. For the first time, the SAE International Government/Industry Meeting was co-located with the Washington Auto Show. The SAE Government/Industry Meeting brought together the leading authorities from government, industry, and academia to explore the effect of current and pending regulations and legislations on future product design. Issues discussed included energy conservation, the environment, and safety. Presenters included top policymakers representing government organizations, technical experts from leading research organizations, and executives and engineers from throughout the industry.
