In the years leading up to the dire economic state the world is in right now, there seemed to be nearly constant chatter about the future state of an infrastructure that was going to have to cope not only with continued (seemingly exponential) growth in commercial traffic, but also with the very light jets (VLJs), air taxis, and UAVs that were being predicted to be ubiquitous any day now, all vying for space in increasing crowded skies. Then it got quiet.
