Canada drilling seen at half 2014 levels: industry

Canadian oil drilling activity will fall by 50pc in 2015 from yearago levels, according to the Canadian Association of Oilfield Drilling Contractors (CAODC). The CAODC predicted 5,531 wells would be drilled in 2015, down from 11,226 wells drilled last year. The forecast trimmed 16pc off the association’s January estimate and was 51pc off last November’s original forecast of 10,354 wells.
