CSX West Virginia tracks open after derailment

Trains are running again after crews reopened tracks involved in last week’s fiery crude-by-rail derailment near Mount Carbon, West Virginia. Cleanup continues around the site, where a unit train of crude derailed on 16 February and caught fire, spilling Bakken oil into the Kanawha river. About 2,310 bl of oily water has been recovered so far. About 4,098 bl of crude has been recovered from the derailed cars and will be transported away from CSX’s Handley Yard today.
