Samskip buys Euro Container Line to grow in Norway market

Logistics firm Samskip has acquired Euro Container Lines to strengthen its presence in the Norway market. The acquisition aims to increase the speed and frequency of services to its clients in Norway, especially regional fishing industry exporters. Total annual Norwegian Samskip volumes are expected to increase to 90,000 teu from 55,000 teu currently, while overall annual volumes are expected to increase to 885,000 teu from 850,000 teu.
