Prices for premium-grade pellets remained under pressure, with persistently mild weather across Europe encouraging lower offers from sellers. Daily average temperatures in the first quarter remained firmly above their historical norms in the main pellet demand centres. Following on from an exceptionally mild Q4, Copenhagen’s average daily temperatures in Q1 were 1.6°C above their ten-year average, while Milan’s remained 0.4°C above and Munich’s 0.2°C above.
