Talks between Indonesia and China to increase LNG term contract prices have yet to be finalised, despite Jakarta’s hopes that they would be concluded within the first few weeks of this year. The discussions, which began in mid-2013, are still in progress, with no indication of when an outcome is likely. Indonesia is aiming to raise the contract price from around $3.80/mn Btu and remove an oil price ceiling of $38/bl, in order to more accurately reflect prices of LNG sold to northeast Asia.
