Venezuela to trade oil, asphalt for trinidad goods

Venezuela will resume crude oil and asphalt exports to Trinidad and Tobago in exchange for payment in cash and non-oil barter goods, the Venezuelan foreign ministry said. Two agreements signed by President Nicolas Maduro and Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar yesterday in Port of Spain also commit Venezuelan state-owned oil company PdV, its Trinidadian counterpart Petrotrin and unnamed foreign oil companies to sharing reserves in the 0.74 trillion ft3 Cocuina-Manakin offshore natural gas field that straddles the maritime border.
