Venezuelan state-owned PdV will shut down its 146,000 b/d El Palito refinery at an unspecified date in 2015 for a planned major turnaround. The turnaround will include extensive upgrades to El Palito’s 60,000 b/d fluidized catalytic cracker, sulfur recovery and effluent treatment units, the company said.
