Restart at Denmark’s Avedore plant

Danish utility Dong has resumed burning biomass at unit 2 of the 585MW Avedore power plant on 24 September,following a dip in local temperatures. Cumulative temperatures for September so far in Copen- hagen remain above their 10-year average,but conditions have cooled since 19 September and minimum and average temperatures fell below the seasonal norm on 22 Septem- ber.
