Vitol wins May tender to supply bitumen to Egypt

Vitol is to supply Egypt with fve bitumen cargoes during May under a tender awarded to the international oil trading frm by Egyptian state-owned EGPC. EGPC had initially sought 10 cargoes of pen 60/70 bitu- men for 10-31 May delivery into the Egyptian Mediterranean port of Alexandria, each of them 6,000-7,000t. But the tender award today was for just fve cargoes, all of them to Vitol at a $39-40/t premium to fob Mediterranean high-sulphur fuel oil, delivered basis Alexandria.
