An infux of cheaper import material placed slight downward pressure on US Atlantic coast wholesale prices this week, but overall trade volume remained thin. The assessment for fob New Jersey waterborne material slipped by $5/st to $140-170/st. Prices at the low end appeared to be limited to the northernmost stretch of the Atlantic coast, while lows further south were indicated around $150/st.
