Trade and discussions in the North American pellet export markets encouraged assessments of fob values to move high-er this week, towards producer asking prices from earlier in the month,in spite of rises in transatlantic freight rates. Biomass producers confirmed hearing buying interest for Atlantic Coast exports at the$163/t fob level, and a deal for a spot October cargo was heard from an Atlantic Coast sup-plier at$165/t.Traders indicated possible deals underway at$2-3/t above that level for supply of wood pellets priced from the US East Coast for loading in the fourth quarter.
