Wood pellet prices delivered into the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region nudged lower this week to $174.87/t, a fresh 14-month low, as offers within the prompt window fell further amid scant buying interest. Bearish sentiment persisted, with offers for prompt deliveries shedding over $1/t — from $176/t last week to $174-175/t for handysize volumes, with some buying interest from the supply side heard around those levels. But market participants thought that the long-anticipated arrival of South Korean tenders could support dollar-denominated prices in the next few months, if fresh demand absorbs North American volumes.
