South Korea’s Kowepo seeks biomass for May-June

South Korean state-controlled utility Korean Western Power (Kowepo) has issued a tender to buy 40,000t of biomass fuel for its 4GW Taean power plant on the country’s west coast. The tender specifies bidders must offer either wood pellet or pellet form woody biomass SRF. Bidders with a previous record of supplying more than 40,000t to any of the five South Korean generators in the last 3-5 years are requested to offer 3,000-40,000t. Bidders without a previous supply record are requested to offer 3,000-5,000t.
