Spanish bitumen demand started to rebound at the end of the third quarter this year, on top of continued growth in exports, as production grew. Spanish bitumen production stood at 276,000 tonnes in September the country's industry ministry said, the highest level for any month since July 2012, propelled by rising exports and nascent signs of life in domestic demand (see chart).
