World fleet changes, December 2007

A total of 60 cellular vessels with a combined capacity of 300,328TEU were ordered in December 2007, bringing the total on order up to 6.52 million TEU (1399 ships). This represents 61% of the active, fully-cellular, world fleet in service today. Decembers orders brought the total for the year up to approximately 3.17 million TEU (519 ships), thereby increasing the orderbook by just under 50%.
