Eurogate acquires interest in Ust Luga

Europe's largest stevedoring company Eurogate has acquired a 20% stake in Russia's new container terminal being built in Ust Luga, 110km to the west of congested St Petersburg. The price paid has not been revealed, but National Container Company (NCC), Russia's largest stevedoring company, which will manage the new Baltic Container Terminal (BCT), in addition to First Container Terminal in St Petersburg, has the right to acquire 18.2% of Eurogate's new facility in Wilhelmshaven, just to the west of Bremer-haven.
