I read with great interest the ELAA article, 'A brave new world' in the January 2008 issue of Cl (p33). I confess to being somewhat disappointed with the impression that readers may have of the ESC as being unwilling to engage in constructive dialogue with the liner shipping sector. I would like to put it on record that the ESC has never and will never close its door to dialogue with the liner shipping industry; indeed, please consider our door wide open to you, as it is to all other stakeholders involved in the international freight transport business.
