Maersk and Safmarine to launch Asia/HoA service

Maersk Line and Safmarine are starting a direct link between the Far East and ports in the Horn of Africa (HoA). This will result in the suspension of the Maersk-controlled FM 1 service on which Safmarine buys space. It uses 4,850TEU capacity ships and calls at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Da Chan Bay, Port Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Jebel Ali, Singapore and return to Xingang.
