Panama Canal delays toll hikes

The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) is to defer any planned increase in tolls fees until January 2011. Then double-digit rate increases will take effect. The existing tariff structure, which includes rate concessions offered at the height of the economic downturn, was due to expire April 30, 2010.
