DP World Dakar (DPWD), which is modernising Senegal's largest container-handling terminal, has agreed a EUR47.5 (USD63.3) million senior loan deal for the project with the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group. The capital investment for the facility at Dakar involves upgrading the port's stacking area and improving other infrastructure, such as its rail infrastructure, electricity, road and office buildings in the port. Overall, the container terminal management system will also be updated.
