Shippers remain unhappy over ocean carriers' service delivery, and with good cause. Apart from the ongoing problem of extended transit times, Drewry Shipping Consultants' latest analysis of ocean carriers' schedule reliability shows a worse position in the final three months of 2009 than in the first nine months of the year, despite the extra buffer time gained through slow steaming.
