The 33rd World Congress of Vine and Wine

The 33rd World Congress of Wine and Vine, which will be held in Tbilisi from the 20th to the 27th of June 2010, hosted by Georgia's ministry of agriculture, will invite us to "touch the History". Indeed, this is the historical birth place of winemaking and a fitting venue for all the world experts to meet and discuss the theme "Vine and Wine, Humanity's World Heritage: Tradition and innovation". Georgia has in recent years been forced to restructure its rich, millennia-old winemaking tradition in order to overcome new challenges and this country therefore provides an emblematic setting to speak of the ties between tradition and innovation that make for the richness of its wine industry.
