The editors of Annals of Surgeiy and our publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins would like to offer our sincere thanks to Pam Nevar, as she has recently left. Annals of Surgery. Over the last few years, Pam, despite working full-time managing the tremendous volume of manuscripts at Annals of Surgery, has completed her PhD in Life Sciences Communication at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and has chosen to pursue other activities. Pam began working for Annals of Surgeiy in June 2002 as an editorial assistant and from November 2006 until this summer served as the Managing Editor. Pam was tremendously efficient, precise in her work, and always available to be helpful to authors, reviewers, the editorial board, and senior editorial staff. She was a pleasure for all of us to interact with professionally and will be missed by all. We wish her luck in her new endeavors.
