MSC's solution is to switch its fleet of 14,000TEU ships operating between Asia and Northern Europe to the Mediterranean. The vessels are being transferred from the Lion and Silk Express services to its Tiger and Dragon Express schedules in the Mediterranean. This leaves the northern European services with vessels of only between 9,200TEU and 12,700TEU capacity.
