Cape Town moves record containers

Cape Town Container Terminal (CTCT) broke its performance records in both September and October an achievement that port operator Transnet Port Terminals' (TPT) general manager for the Western Cape, Velile Dube, said the workforce was 'energised to sustain'. During September and October shifts, work at CTCT reached 33 moves per gross crane hour (GCH) breaking its previous record of 30 moves per GCH achieved just the month before.
